Mirific Portfolio

Read the companies you hold, with their consent.

A lens for investment firms, holding companies and programs. Mirific Portfolio reads each company from its own Mirific workspace, only with that company's consent, and shows the evidence, never a grade.

An illustration with invented companies. Each company's link carries the grants it chose. Three share their readings, and your firm reads each with where its figures came from. One has paused its link, and reads as Not shared, never as zero.

The problem

Every quarter, the same chase.

Figures arrive late, by email, each in its own shape. A number the books hold looks the same as one typed in a hurry, and the companies have no say in what leaves their hands once it does.

  • Late

By the time the quarter's figures are in, the decisions they should have prompted have already been made, or missed.

  • Unsourced

A spreadsheet cannot say whether a figure was read from the books, stated by the founder or estimated by an analyst.

  • One-way

Once a company sends its numbers, they are out of its hands. It cannot narrow what it shares, or pause it.

How it works

A company accepts your invitation from its own settings and chooses what to share, grant by grant. It can change that, pause, or end the link at any time, and the change applies on your next read.

As the company sees it. Each switch is the company's to turn on or off.

  • Checked on every read

Consent is checked on our servers before any reading leaves the company's workspace. A company that is not sharing reads as Not shared, never as zero.

  • Chosen grant by grant

The roll-up of its readings, a read-only look inside, history from before the link, and, for a holding company, the right to work inside it. Each is the company's to turn on or off.

  • A pause is a pause

When a company pauses or ends a link, the firm keeps only what it received while the link was active, and the company reads as Not shared from then on.

What a firm sees

Evidence, never grades.

Every figure is read from the company's own pages, the same numbers its own team sees, and carries where it came from.

  • Pace on each Strategic Project, the decisions waiting, runway and the figures behind it.
  • Needs attention is one row per company, its first reason in plain words, ordered by a rule printed on the page.
  • No composite score and no ranked list of companies, anywhere.

What a firm does with it

From the chase to the update, in one place.

  • Requests

Ask companies for quarterly figures and impact indicators, or your own questions. Reminders go to the company before the due date and after it.

  • LP updates and tear sheets

Compose an update for a vehicle's limited partners, and a one-page tear sheet for a company, from what companies share. The update downloads as PDF or Word, the tear sheet as PDF, and holdings export to Excel.

  • Alerts

By email or to your firm's Teams channel, when runway falls below your threshold, a decision is raised, a Stop Criterion is reached, a request is overdue, or a link is paused or ended.

Benchmarks, by choice

A place in a band, never a rank in a list.

Compare within your own portfolio, or against companies across Mirific that chose to join the comparison. A band forms only over at least five companies, and it carries no names and no counts.

  • A company's place is a quarter of the band: lower, middle half or upper.
  • Revenue is banded within one currency, and the band says which.
  • A company that leaves the comparison is taken out of every band.
An illustration: one measure's band, its three parts, and where one company sits in it. The band shows no other company and no number of companies.

For every kind of firm

Built for how each kind of firm holds a company.

  • Investment firms

A fund reads the companies it has invested in, while they share.

  • Holding companies

A holding company can also work inside a company it holds, as a contributor, where that company grants it.

  • Programs

A program admits a cohort for a set period, and each link ends on its own after the program's last day.

The company's numbers stay the company's.

Mirific helped prepare the plans it reads, so it shows the evidence and never grades a business. Each company sees what it shares and can take it back, and every firm reads only what it was given.
